Hi, I’m Lana, the artist behind Gathering Blue Designs.

I create handmade tote bags that combine my love of drawing and fiber arts. Each bag features my original artwork brought to life through embroidery, beading, or block printing, transforming everyday accessories into functional pieces of art.

I started making these totes when I needed a meaningful gift for my bridesmaids. I wanted something beautiful, personal, and practical—something they could use and enjoy every day. I asked each of them for their favorite flower or animal and embroidered it onto a tote bag that I designed and sewed from scratch, with a focus on quality, durability, and craftsmanship.

What began as a heartfelt gift soon became Gathering Blue Designs: a collection of one-of-a-kind pieces that blend beauty, functionality, and storytelling.

My sewing journey started with YouTube tutorials, TikTok videos, and plenty of trial and error. Every mistake taught me something new, and my love for the craft kept me going. Today, I’m proud to create pieces that bring art into everyday life—not just on a wall, but wherever your day takes you.
